Hey please forgive me but for the dead lift if i weigh 170 should i be deadlifting 255?

255 is 1.5x your bodyweight, isn't it?

If you plan to do it as prescribed, use that weight. If you aren't strong enough, then don't (obviously). In that case, scale it to something you can do.

If you can handle that weight.

If you haven't deadlifted much before I would recommend scaling down to something you are more comfortable with and can do with good form.

Yeah. Pretty insane. If you haven't done it before I'd scale it down. Thats a lot of weight at a lot of reps if your bodys not used it it and your form isn't perfect. I scaled it down 80 % last time (my first Linda) and still had to take nearly a week off.

My first Linda was scaled at DL my body weight, BP 3/4 my body weight and clean (with full squat) 1/2 my body weight. I was sore for a few days after, needed a spotter for the bench but finished it in 24 minutes and 54 seconds!

last night i did the old 21-15-9 with 225 DL. it was a swift kick to the pills if you know what i mean! i'll give it a try at 255!
