Painstorm - June '10

Run 1/2 mile w 1/2 bodyweight
AMRAP 20
5 deadlift, 1/2 bodyweight
5 hang power clean, 1/2 bodyweight
5 front squat, 1/2 bodyweight
5 push jerk, 1/2 bodyweight
5 back squat, 1/2 bodyweight
Run 1/2 mile (no load)

For the run carry the load however you want - loaded bar, ruck, vest, sandbag or a combination. No penalties for dropping the bar apart from having to pick it up.

Post load, rounds completed and total time

Re: Painstorm - June '10

Just want clarification. The 20 minute clock does not start until the end of the loaded 1/2 mile, and the unloaded 1/2 mile is part of the AMRAP set, correct?

20 mins starts after loaded run and on completion of the 20 min you run 1/2 mile to finish.

Total time is loaded run + 20 min + unloaded run

Cheers, kempie

Re: Painstorm - June '10

Will do on saturday, but have to sub something else for running. Can row, jump, whatever, but have to stay in the gym. Subbing rowing for running isn't that complicated but more interested in what to do for the weighted running.

Re: Painstorm - June '10

Might just carry my training partner (72kgs. I'm 78kgs) for 2 laps round the track before goin gym. Just need to take an extra minute or two to run in to the gym n change shoes n stuff. Any ideas?

Stephen - that partner carry looks great. Much better than weighted rowing

Cheers, kempie

Really wanna try this but can't decide if I wanna run around my hood with a loaded bar on my shoulders. My neighbors already think I'm crazy!
