Concept 2 Model B - $350

I found another thread pretty much identical to this, but figured I'd post about my own experience.

Just got my first kettlebell (35# - half pood, i think?) today, so my home gym is now up to:

- Standard metal oly weight set + squat rack - 255#
- Elite Rings
- 2nd set of Homemade PVC rings
- 35# dumbbell
- 35# kettlebell
- 20# homemade medicine ball
- 10mph max treadmill
- Yukon GHD

The items on my must have list are now down to a nice set of sturdy, reliable, willing-to-be-dropped-a-lot bumper plates, and a nice reliable rower.

I don't make enough money to be able to splurge on a new Model D, but just found a Model B on Craig's List for $350. It has had at least 2 previous owners -- current seller has had it for 5 months.

I think the gold standard is that $350 is too much. I told him I'd be willing to do $175 if it's in good condition. If he goes to $200 I'll probably agree.

I've never done any rowing whatsoever, so I'm about as giddy as a schoolgirl right now, thinking that I might finally get my own rower... I don't care what model!

Sound good?

Re: Concept 2 Model B - $350

I would say to keep looking, but thats just me.
Felt the same way (giddy school girl) about getting a rower, but I stuck it out, and didnt splurge, and it paid off with a 1 time owner of a C2 Model C for 300 delivered to my garage(local seller).

Only advice that I can ACTUALLY offer is to check it out and make sure everything seems to be working normal.

And visit the concept 2 website and get the maintenance sheet for which ever model you get, and do it. I did, and it made a world of difference even with the lightly used rower I got.
