Well, Friday was my first WOD...my hip flexors & quads are still killing me. I thought I'd pick one that looked relatively easy...so I went with 7/3. 75 sit-ups, 65 lb tabata front squats & 75 more sit-ups...pfff, I thought...

Yeah ok, half way through my 4 min's of front squat insanity I thought to myself "What the hell am I doing to myself!?!" I squeak out my 2nd set of 75 & lay there huffing. People at the gym were looking at me like I was some kind of freak. Anyway...when it was all said & done, I realized I LOVED EVERY SECOND of it!

I do have one question about the 7/13 WOD. 50 squats - with weight or just air squats?

7/13 = air squats (thank god).

Congratulations on picking some good ones to start with . . . these are relatively non-techical (i.e., no snatches on your first WODs), but still plenty challenging. Good choices!

Most people at the gym will never understand . . . don't worry about 'em.

I'm actually following the whole week of 7/7 to 7/13 minus the Inman mile. I have a 4 on 4 volleyball tourny on Saturday. I highly doubt I'll be able to get above the net after attempting that monster...

Haha, as far as the people at the gym...I'm used to it. People have a tendency to give you funny looks when you deadlift with no belt, straps, or shoes. Windshield wipers, although I was doing them lying on a bench not hanging from a pull up bar (for now), is another good one to raise eyebrows. I could go on & on, but I'm sure most people here can...

You're skipping the Inman mile? How could you! (Just kidding)

Now THAT would get people staring at you . . .
