Re: Feeling down and frustrated.

Isn't there a saying that pain is proof you're alive?
I'd rather hurt myself doing something I love doing than hurt my self because I'm so out of shape that I couldn't hold up my own body weight.

Just be smart about rehab and mobility and don't overdo it. Stick with the program and focus on your weakness. Injury is the body's way of telling you there's an imbalance.

Good luck- I know how frustrating injuries can be, especially when they spring up back to back to back! Push through it- it's worth it.

My $0.02

Re: Feeling down and frustrated.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Feeling (mentally) much better than when I first posted. I have been back to the gym to do very modified WODs and have appointment with PT to develop a plan to get back to 100% in my legs.

I will tell you this...getting back in the gym was key. Just being there, getting the vibe of CF in your blood, the group/competitive environment, having great coaches work with you, encouragement on this board, etc, etc...that's what keeps me going. Pretty sure those attributes are not a part of P90x, Insanity, or any globo-gym membership package I've seen.

I've been working on my physical, so this downtime is nice for working on my mental and spiritual. My patience and prayer muscles could use a little work, so this is time well spent.

Look forward to doing an unrestricted WOD hopefully in the near future.
