Re: Starting Strength or a Hybrid Program

Jeff,

I'm also interested in how you program. It looks, at least presently, like you work up to a max quite often and then hit a WOD. I looked around the brand X forums a little bit, but cursory poking didn't bring up anything, though I do understand your scaling of the WODs.

Thanks.

Re: Starting Strength or a Hybrid Program

I guess you are the man behind the curtain. We would all love to know your secrets and WODs.
I have lots of members at my location asking for Hybrid Type Programs to include more strength training along with some Met Con.
It seems we just got recongnized by American Top Team and several fighters are coming in on Mon Wed Fr to up their Met Con.
Programming is an art - And you sir sound like a great artist.
Good work.

Re: Starting Strength or a Hybrid Program

I would be interested in seeing your program also. Is it straight CF? or I think you mention that it is CF with a strength bias, is it similar to the Gant's hybrid? Sorry for the questions

i would also like to see the programming. Your method sounds highly effective, and i am around the same age as your son. I feel this could be very helpful to me. Thanks you

My son and I have been going through a fairly heavy strength cycle combined with CF for the last few weeks. My metabolic conditioning has not suffered in the least, I've added 50 pounds to my deadlift and 55 pounds to my back squat and deadlifted 325 x 12 this morning. My 150#, 17 year old son back squatted 305 x 3 yesterday and overhead squatted 205 x 3 this morning. Two weeks ago he did Fran in 2:54 a 1 minute PR, and 30 muscle ups for time in 3:40. Your not going to get that by following a powerlifting program. Of course, I don't think we will ever be competitive powerlifters.

would you mind showing your routine
i am doing a hevy strength cycle mixed in with metcons from the wod
