I guess that's possible! I think I kind of beat myself up with the freakin' massager!! Good news is that it's going away fast. Will be as good as new by Thursday!

Re: Nancy's Log

Bike ride 2.2 miles to the park

WOD:

As many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
Maximum modified pull-ups (the # varied, as I tried various modified methods)
Maximum push-ups (varied from 8-10 each round)
400m run

Me = 6 1/2 rounds (time was up before I did the final 400m run on that round)

Then...

2 rounds of 10 box jumps and 10 squat to overhead jump w/ medicine ball

Then...

I tried doing a a kind of hop up to a pull-up (to practice). Yea! I did it I'm calling it a "mini Mcpull-up"

Then... 3.3 mile bike ride home

Me tired

Re: Nancy's Log

Dang, my arms are still sore from Saturday. Sticking with a non-upper body workout again today. Did lots of stretching this morning to try to work through the arm soreness.

Modified WOD from the CF Endurance site:

Jump rope

1min on, 1 min off, 1 min on, 50 sec off, 1 min on, 40 sec off, 1 min on, 30 sec off, 1 min on 20 sec off, 1 min on, 10 sec off, then go back up the ladder... 1 min on, 20 sec off, until you finish with 1 min on, 50 sec off, 1 min on.

Result...lots and lots of sweating!

Also, I decided to do the Burpee Challenge. Start today with 1 Burpee.

Re: Nancy's Log

2 burpees today.

Anyone ever try a push-up challenge like the burpee challenge? I think I'll start and see how far I get. So, today would be 1+2 = 3 push-ups.

45 minute dog walk (hey, that should count towards something...I only post it when I'm not doing anything else!)

News Flash....I think I did my first pull-up!!! On my dog walk, I stopped at the playground to walk on the balance bar for a couple minutes. When done, I thought I'd try a pull up on the rings. The rings are pretty high up...I'm 5'8", and I have to reach real high to grab them. I grabbed them, did a little jump up, and pulled myself all the way up to a pull up! YEA!! I couldn't do this 3 weeks ago when I started CF.

It is pretty cool. It's mostly wooden structures, plus the various bars and rings that kids like to swing on, and swings, and slides, and a gigantic almost life size whale statue to climb on. It was built by the community a good number of years ago.

I just discovered recently that I can use the hanging wooden beam to practice cross-stepping for surfing (I longboard).

There are also parallel bars there, which would be great for doing dips, but...they're so close together that my hips don't fit between them!

I can also do box jumps up onto one of the wooden platforms.

I should figure out what else I can use there. Might have to kick some of the kids off of stuff that I'll want to use
