At someone's suggestion here, I got Starting Strength. I think it's the best book I've ever read in the fitness/exercise category. Mark is amazingly clear (and witty) as he writes about the various lifts. Since I naturally default to the wrong movement, his advice on not only how to do it, but how not to do it, is crucial.

This should be the user's manual for everyone who lifts weights.

I tried to order it on the site, but it wouldn't accept Canada as a shipping destination (although it accepted my Province without complaint). I tried e-mailing them but have had no response...

My favorite part is the flipbook animations of each lift - Fricken awesome book.
