Here's an idea I picked up off of Ross Enamait's board: fill a Smith Ball about 1/2 full of water and use it for cleans, overhead presses, whatever. The water sloshing around will make it REALLY hard to stabilize and it will knock you around. Great core exercise, and an actually worthwhile use of those big goofy balls (better by far than endless sets of crunches).

I've also heard lots of the same good things about kegs-"unstable implements." Good stuff. I imagine grip could also be exciting.

A water filled swiss ball won't hurt as much if you drop it on your head or foot. It would probably be more awkard to lift as well. I'll give this a try.

those balls are best for doings squats on.

you can also have fun doing 'v' situps- passing the ball from hands to between feet, back and forth.

also crab walks and the like are better if you put your feet on the ball.

just some ideas,
