If he is so worried about time then a couple of thing to put on the white board:

1) Scaled IRM (Incomplete Range of Motion)

or to really make the point

2) DNF (due to not completing required # of full range of motion reps)

I would simply tell him you need to record it this way so the other clients understand his time is a result of not doing all the work. It would be unfair to compare the times of the people who do full range of motion to those that don't.

I would privately let him know a head of time how you plan on scoring things so it is not a public surprise the first time you write DNF on the white board.
