Long time Listener, First time Caller

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading these boards for awhile now, thought I would drop in and say hello.

I started Crossfit about 4 months ago, and before that I wanted nothing to do with it, for some reason (completely irrational) I though CF was bad, stupid etc. Since the first workout that had me gasping and wishing I was dead (pretty much just going through bodyweight squats, pull ups, burpees and pushups) I always thought of myself as in ok shape, until I had my wife take some before pictures, and saw the muffin top spilling over the shorts that barely fit anymore.

Now 4 months in and I basically spend a fair portion of my time researching lifts, workouts and talking crossfit with the few people at work who do it. I even recently started Crossfit Endurance in prep for a marathon that I signed up for in June (hate running, but figured best way to get into it would be something like this). My bosses at work are fed up with me talking crossfit, and with me trying to have it become a weekly part of our PT (Canadian Military here, Artillery) and have told me on numerous occasions to shut up. But the best news is, after reading and researching paleo for a few months, and through a series of discussion etc, my wife has agreed to start Crossfit with me after the birth of our second child (Which is due any day now) and to try a 30 day paleo challenge!

The only thing I am regretting is that there are only 3 people I know of that are Level 1 Cert, and no box anywhere near where I live, so its hard to get help with my lifts (spent half an hour today with my OHS since I can barely do any weight) But thats just a bit about me. Oh, and I wish I had started this 10 years ago when I was 19 instead of 29!

Thanks for reading
