1- ditch the belt

No can do. Spent too many days not walking due to my back problem to ditch the belt. I'll just keep practicing.

Yeah, for these weights you do not need the belt, but if you like it go for it As far as the video, I would agree your head is a bit low actually, but that is not the end of the world. It looks like you need to shove those knees out a bit more. That will make more room for your chest and allow you to get proper depth without so much strain at the bottom. It takes a lot of focused effort to acheive this at first, but once you get it it feels much better Keep working hard!!
