100m Sprint x 10 Quad Injury

Doing today's WOD (100m sprint x10/90 sec rest). After 1st Sprint i felt a pain in my right quad. Tried one more a little less intense and the pain shot back. After this I decided to knock it off before it got worse. Not sure why it pulled so fast, maybe warm up wasn't enough. I also ran 5K yesterday and I am working on Intramural Cross Country in April. Any thoughts on what may have caused it/how long I should wait until I give it another go or try any workouts involving use of the quad (which is a lot)?

last time I pulled a quad it took about two weeks before I could do anything moderate output. Rest and massage it.

Hopefully I'll make the 10K on my 30th birthday (next week). We'll see....

Were these all-out sprints? When was the last time you did all-out sprints, and
did you do 10 of them at a time? If you're not used to doing that much sprinting in a workout you shouldn't really be attempting it, even if it's posted on the site.

Re: 100m Sprint x 10 Quad Injury

We had a similar all out sprint workout last tuesday, slightly different work rest ratio, but still 100m all out. Inadequate warm-up may have been the culprit, Last week the sprints came after some bodyweight training, this week was just a quick warm-up. I also didn't run the day prior last time.
