At isocaloric calories generally someone does not lose weight. At hypocaloric cals someone will start losing weight. If you decrease the kcals further there IS a point where someone will stop losing weight. Whatever you want to call that point "stavation diet" or whatever else that's what I'm talking about. Once you get into anorexia and stuff that's going much below past starvation where it's not thermogenically possible to maintain and thus people will start losing weight again.

Neither of the ones below the losing weight hypocaloric state is really healthy and obviously as you said will wreak havoc on the body through messed up hormonal response
