Ufc 95

Anyone else watching?

No way should that first fight have been stopped, you could see Koscheck getting ready to defend himself......ridiculous.

Re: Ufc 95

It's not on here in the US yet. I'd put a spoiler alert in your header just so you don't make anyone mad. I'm recording it on my DVR since I'm working until 10 PM EST.

I agree, That stoppage was CRAP. I don't care what Rogan says.

Re: Ufc 95

Wow, I can't believe that seems to be the general opinion on here. I thought the stoppage was fine, Kos took two really flush shots, and was clearly out. He was about to take a few more flush shots to the dome undefended. Cut the refs a break they have to make split second dec. and either way someone complains, if he would have let KOs take a few more shots we would be mad that the stoppage was late. That said, good stoppage.

Re: Ufc 95

Josh was KO'd, he was out. Had the fight not been stopped there would have been unnessecary damage. Good stoppage IMHO.

Good night of fights. Lots of great KO's. The main event was not what I wanted, however... Still good.

Re: Ufc 95

Hi, as a UK professional fighter and someone that knows Marc Goddard the referee very well, let me assure you that this doesn't influence my following opinion.

The referee was right to stop the fight.

A fighter enters the arena knowing the ref is there to put their safety first. If you don't want the chance of an early call, don't give the ref the opportunity to call it!

A referee has to make a split second decision, based at that moment in time, and you cannot criticise the ref for making a call. Remember, no 8 counts, no action replay, you have to call it there and then.

And we weren't as close as Marc was. He made it correctly in my opinion, even under that pressure.

And overall, even with the benefit of hindsight, I believe that it was not called early, it was called correctly.

End of.

Smiler
