gymnastics cert

I am trying to get the time off to hit up a gymnastics cert. I was wondering if anyone that has already been could tell me what they thought of it. I am really excited to go , I would just like to hear some opinions.

Re: gymnastics cert

Aaron,
Unless someone has a gymnastics background, I think the cert is absolutely essential to the development of an affiliate. Being able to safely introduce gymnastics beyond L sits, muscle ups, and handstands has really expanded what we can offer our clients.

Re: gymnastics cert

Greetings. I recently went through the Gymnastics Cert at GSX Athletics in Fort Worth, TX. Though I now help out there, I paid for the class on my own dime, and was on my own time. I signed up to get better dialed in on my bar work, and ring work. I was not disappointed. Tucker puts on a safe, sound, and solid presentation that happens to be a lot of fun. The progressions are well laid out, and spotting techniques are stressed at all times. I'd also say that the muscle-up segment was worth the price alone. Do I recommend it? You bet, I put my own money behind it and would (will) do so again.

Did I say it was fun?

Take care,
Mike

Re: gymnastics cert

I went to a gymnastics cert put on by Roger Harrell and Andres from CrossFit Marin and it was excellent. Easily the best cert I have been too. These guys are a valuable resource. I highly recommend it, whether or not you are an affiliate. They de-mystifited gymnastics and made it accesible to the average CrossFitter. Plus the whole thing is a lot of fun. Check it out.
