So are you saying it's no big deal?

Re: CFing with a hysterectomy

Kicking this back to the surface. Just found out I'll be getting a hysterectomy in about two weeks. I have multiple fibroids that have just started causing a great deal of headache/bodyache pain. The doctor said I have the option of having them removed, but I'm 40, no kids and no plans for any (though I'm open to adopting).

Considering the previous posts about empty spaces and shifting organs, would it be more advisable to have a partial hysterectomy, leaving the cervix intact? (I was given that option as well).

Recovery time: I teach elementary school music and do a lot of moving around during classes. What is a reasonable time frame to allow healing enough to teach at least half days, and how long should I lay off the wods?

Any advice on nutrition is welcome as well. Currently I'm eating about 80% Paleo.

John V, did your client have her surgery yet?
