inov8 question

So I was out looking for shoes today and ran across a store selling inov8's. I picked up a pair not really paying attention (and not knowing the differences) and now that I have them home and are looking at them, I realized I'm not sure they're what I want. I got a pair of the road xlite 155's. Part of me thinks they will do fine for crossfit, but part of me isn't sure. Has anybody used these or know anything about them being used for crossfit? I'm in the army and looking for something that will work for lifts as well as metcons and i can wear without being considered out of uniform (can't wear my vibrams because of this). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: inov8 question

I wore mine for everything and didn't have any issues. They felt fine doing everything, but I didn't do any rope climbs with them so they wouldn't get tore up.

If this is your first minimalist shoe, take it easy at first. These felt like slippers more than shoes, so if you're feet/ankles aren't ready for that you could do some damage to them.
