you're gripping near the top of the ring? and you can press out from that position? i'm having a hard time visualizing that...
do a ring dip - look at where your hands are. that's essentially the placement you want. so if you look at the above pictures, if you moved Nicki's forearm from under to over her hand, she would be in a pretty good support grip.
if you're gripping up on the side of the ring, i don't see how you can really complete the MU - at the end of each rep, are you able to pause at the top after the press out?
