My longtime favorite way to add a little spice is with olive oil infused with red pepper flakes. I use two small olive oil bottles w/ a cork top. I add red pepper flakes and olive oil and let them enjoy each others company for a while. I keep two bottles to allow one to steep longer, while I use the other.
I've also started to use *real* wasabi. I buy it in powder form, to which you add water to make a paste. This is great with steak and veggie type stir fry dishes.
