At Maxercise generally regular BW squats are used, usually done fast w/ explosive hip thrust off a bench or ball, sometimes holding a 25lb plate, for tabatas.

Hindus are great in BW circuits due to the breathing rythym. Holding 5 -10 lbs in each hand, and/or using a vest, takes the reps down from the 100s to the 25s.
