WHat are your goals and where are you now? How carb tolerant are you. A decent way to find out is when you get up on a day you don't have to do a whole lot. For breakfast eat pancakes with syrup (and butter if you want). Nothing else. Eat as much as you want but don't stuff yourself. Evaluate how you feel for the next 4 or so hours. If you feel great, full of energy, etc you are carb tolerant. If you crash, you are not. If you're like me, you take a nap in about 40 minutes and wake up 2 hours later and eat 2 lbs of brisket.
