Yes maximum weight you can lift. Most people post they rest between 2 & 3 minutes on the max effort days. It allows the CNS to reset for the next max effort. On a 5x5 work out, I rest 3 minutes between sets. This one I started out with 2 minutes and ended with a 3 minute rest on the last one.
