I have a friend who has a very thin build and so has started going to the gym (it's a miracle he did that, so once he's okay with it, I'll throw the crossfit at him). He asked me to get him so protein powder for his birthday, and reading up on the discussion boards, it seems like there's alot of personal preference and tuning going on with that.
This guy is a casual lifter (1-2x per week), but his goal is to put on a bit more bulk, so I was just going to go to Trader Joe's and get him some whey protein. I was thinking it didn't matter too much what I got him as long as it was tasty.
Would I be doing him a disservice in this? Is there a better option?
