Give those a try. I do them daily for knee strength and stability. I've noticed an improvement after only one week of doing them. I do them at the bottom of my stairs, the height is just perfect to have complete control all the way down and feel the burn around the entire knee.

Another thing to do is simply stand on one foot for 60 seconds. It does more of the ankle but you'll get it in the knee closer to 60 seconds.
