18 years old. 6 months of crossfit
I'm 18 years old, 5'11" and 190. Squat 390, deadlift 455, bench 290, clean and jerk 265. I'm looking for credible and knowledgable advice on whether or not extended periods of rest can be productive. It is incredibly difficult for me to not work out for more than 2 days in a row. Lately however, I've been prone to minor injuries (muscle strains, etc). I feel like it's my body telling me I need to take a couple weeks off. Smart or no?
