Don't want to oversimplify things but gaining muscle mass is an after affect of the right combination of training and nutrition like Steven said above. You always have to remember "form follows function."

No one has any clue of your fitness background, experience etc. The best thing to tell you is find out how much you need to eat. Then don't overeat or else you provide the raw material your body will need to grow (if the training stimulus is there) which is not what you want.
