"You're not going to lose those last twenty pounds by resting and trying to catch your breath." - me last night to an ex-football player trying to get back in shape. He apparenly thought that it made sense to rest during a workout consisting of 3 rounds for time of 20 1.5 pood kettlebell swings and 20 burpees.
Seriously though, on workouts like Fran you just have to kill yourself and try to get it done as quickly as possible. Resting just prolongs the torture. Besides, you can always catch your breath on the pullups.
