Running's getting easier.
I've been doing CrossFit since late July and I love it, but I didn't realize until today how much it's been doing for my running because typically I haven't run more than half a mile at a time doing the WODs. This morning I had to go to squadron PT and we did about half an hour of calisthenics and then a run from the base gym to the gate and back, which was 3.6 miles round-trip and uphill on the way back. I have never run 3.6 miles in my life. Ever. I've done a couple 5K's before and I'll be honest, the last one was a couple years ago and I stopped to walk a couple times. This morning I didn't stop at all. I was barely breathing hard and the only thing slowing me down was some pain in my knees and ankles (still waiting to find out if I have arthritis). It's a pretty good feeling every time I surprise myself with my improvements. Did I mention I love CrossFit?
