I think he gets it, the point is that you're removing the eccentric portion of the thruster (replaced with the third pull of the clean). For reasons that I cannot understand, some people insist that this makes a squat clean to thruster a different movement. Pretty silly honestly. Some people actually program the move as a separate exercise ("Cluster") - Eva T. puts these in the CFSCC programming sometimes.
