Re: Top 40 Mens Placing... A different way of Scoring.
I was just thinking about this yesterday while perusing Hari's thread about scaling (and thus scoring) for work capacity. A few things jump out:
1. Josh Everett and Lucas Brainerd deserve event more recognition for their efforts, as the only two athletes to finish inside the top-20 in all four events. With such a strong field, this is truly a remarkable achievement.
2. Speal was top-10 in three events, though he also had the lowest score in any event of the top-12 competitors. This guy is a beast. However, if anything, this just reinforces what ridiculous performances we saw turned in by Everett and Brainerd.
3. Jason Khalipa deserved this title. End of argument.
