Re: Following a affiliate
Hello, I follow multiple affiliates and go by the 3 on 1 off, 2 on 1 off routine. I workout in my garage so I have a lot of flexibility in what I choose to do. I have a few limiters in my equipment/setup like the inability to do rope climbs and muscle-ups because of ceiling clearance.
I tried to follow a single affiliate but was quickly frustrated by trying to move around my gym's limitations and the out of sync off days. I usually look through a few different affiliate websites and the main site workouts. I try to stay balanced with cardio and strength in both the warm-ups and WOD's. One WOD a week will be running or rowing and the remainder will be picked from affiliate/girls/heros. I try to do 1 hero a week for the extra push.
If I were to follow a single affiliate to ensure consistent programming, I would start somewhere in their history and work forward according to my own on/off schedule and not try to stay current.
