Have you seen the whole30stuff ? Like the paleo plan they have a pretty simple formula of eat like this and here's a shopping list.
That is/was a blue print for a eating challenge we did.
Still not zone though.
Even though it's not that hard in the end, (but i don't do it, but I track portion with paleo), zone is a bit overwhelming and frustrating in the beginning - trying to piece the blocks together and how to create meals. My aha moment was to get the protein first, then add the other blocks.
