I believe Robb W said that the "average" person needs take in under 30 grams of carbs per day for ketosis to take effect (Mark Sisson puts it at 0-50 grams of carbs while IF'ing), obviously everyone will be slightly different. The 6 oz of sweet potato will put you above the 30 grams, add in whatever else you are getting from veggies and the occasional apple (even if it is not very much) and you won't be in ketosis. So that is probably why you're not in ketosis... now onto to what Meghan said... why ketosis?
