The article says your calories should be 49% carbs, doesn't Zone prescribe 40%? The "high carb" intake doesn't seem all that much higher.

Assuming, however, that it is combined with exercise (like running) I'm sure this would result in weight loss. Making sure you keep the total calories down.

Like Craig points out, this is not necessarily the same kind of "weight loss" overweight Crossfitters are likely to be after.
