Although I have nothing to back up my statement other than what we know about processed proteins, I'd think most of the benefits of a grass-fed source get lost in the process to turn it into a powdered form.

Processed protein loses nutrition and its protein content when it's heated and preserved. It's simply due to the increased surface area - the product is suddenly vulnerable to degradation. The more you play with the original source, the more the moisture level increases, protein loss intensifies, and the full profile of aminos and omegas degrades.
