thanks for sharing. I am not a crossfitter although im a fan of the methodology and forums. i am a fitness enthusiast and Brazilian Jiujitsu practitioner. I am also one of the many affected with anxiety disorders. (ive ranged from generalized anxiety to Panic disorder to a touch of OCD over the years). fitness, exercise, and jiujitsu is NECESSARY to my well being. i believe crossfit is similar to jiujitsu in that it is a fitness based community that fosters a brotherhood of sorts.
We need to take away the stigma of these disorders and talk about them. There should be no feelings of shame. in fact i dont like to call it a mental illness. im not ill. In my case at least, its biological. Sufferers of these disorders are not alone and isolated. we are everywhere
