I've been doing CF for about 6weeks now. I can do jumping pull ups and have started using the thickest blue band to try and do proper pullups (cos I think jumping is cheating and not helping me progress) however I find I still have to give myself a little push up from the bottom using my free foot. Is this cheating? We did Nicole on the w/e and this was the only way I could get through it.
I used to be able to do chin ups and I think 7 was my max (back in my rugby playing days of 2+ years ago). however, I'm pretty sure these weren't proper DHPU except for maybe the first one as I was standing on a chair and could reach the bar from there.
Should I continue with the band and perhaps practise doing some negatives (go to the top and lower myself a little, and then pull back up, progress to lowering further each week)? How many should I practise in one go? 3? 5? 10? *shudder*
