i believe that would encourage specialization. The thing crossfit seams to most greatly avoid. I think people would train specifically to make it on the "world record" page and that would defeat the purpose of using crossfit as a training method. Don't get me wrong, i myself would love to know the times for the best of the best but i think specialists would ruin the point of it.

Also, I bet you wouldn't see any of the top crossfitters at the top of any of the records specifically because they do not specialize.
