I can't speak for the majority of people but my biggest problem was knowing how to get started and fear that it would be difficult. Macro tracking turned what I thought was going to be a difficult calculus equition into a simple math problem.
Only 6 weeks in I am still finding what my body needs. I will begin modifying for performance improvement shortly.
