Band work doesn't really make it into my programming and I like ring dips over bar dips. Plus, the Fringe rack is a single bar, so bar muscle-ups!!
I don't do much band work myself but it's there if you ever want to incorporate it into your program.
Again, it gives you the option to do bar dips but that doesn't stop you from hanging a set of rings on it to do ring dips as well. Lastly you can mount just one overhead bar on it if you want to do your bar muscleups. No need to put both up. I'd love to be able to do Bar muscle ups on this thing but my ceiling is too low.
Comparitively speaking, both racks accomplish identical things.
