Cheers for the welcome Larry,

I guess I bought into it for similar reasons - also i love lifting and always will.

I just never understood how one training method, like lifting iron, could make so many "professionals" convinced it was the ultimate way to to train and "the best" way to get fit and functional for all aspects of health.

I have been laughed at by other lifters for my view on variety and functionabilty.

Well I am here now and slowly finding my way around!

I am in the timid first steps of business planning for my own exercise facility with a difference (from commercial gyms) - the difference being , I care and will give all the advice, help and attention needed to reach goals using fun methods that leave you wanting to come back again and again! I have a feeling crossfit is just what I have been looking for.
