Conerned with possible quad strain or knee tendonitis??

looking for some advice.... 28/m 190lbs
I have been crossfitting for about 8 months and have dealt with minor elbow tendonits and overall soreness....I attributed that to pushing hard, I was able to start crossfit doing the WOD's rxd so I expected some minor discomfort..but this is new
I was attmepting a new PR on OHS it up with pretty good form. the next day i experienced pain directly on the top of my kneecap almost like a bruise, and signifigant quad soreness..i took 3 days off and still have the same symtoms... I played football in college and never had any knee problems so I am a little concerned
tried some light running and tabata squats yesterday and i am still very sore and signifigantly weaker in my right leg
any suggestions???
