Re: Poorman's Rings

Hey guys, I'm new to this site and this is my first post. These rings are sick and I've made them my summer project. I opted to use mountain climbing webbing instead. What i did was used about 0.75 m to thread through the rings and then tied the ends together with a beer knot. Then I tied a 3m length of webbing around the beer knot using a double figure eight knot. This 3 m length has alpine butterfly knots every 0.5-ish meter and there is a caribiner attached to the end of the 3 m length. This way I can adjust the length of the rings by clipping the biner at different butterfly knots. Altogether it was around $25. It's also much safer and longer lasting than using tie-downs or lashing straps. Let me know what you guys think.

ps. the knots are all on wiki
