Re: The tale of a crossfitter's first marathon
Haha, thanks Peter. My friend with whom I made the bet chickened out after a month or so training, shin splints or something.
I didn't mention that I did a POSE running clinic with Dr Romanov...

Re: The tale of a crossfitter's first marathon

Re: The tale of a crossfitter's first marathon

Re: Anyone use a Timex 5J985? (Trail Runner)

Re: Triathletes
Jim, this isn't exactly on point, but last year, at the age of 40, I did my first triathlon, having done little or no specific triathlon training (but following CF closely), I finished in the top 19%...

Paul, thank you for taking the time to post that in so much detail.
I intend to build one of these in the next few months and your experiences will be invaluable.
Particularly so, because my...

Re: Marathon training & crossfit scheduling
You've answered all my questions.
Will follow your suggested strategy in the Melbourne Marathon after making a bet with someone recently that I could do it.
I've done Triathlons before doing...

Anyone use a Timex 5J985? (Trail Runner)
On the recommendation of a few people here, I bought a Timex OVA ironman triathlon watch a couple of years ago.
It has done me very well for CF: the interval timer and countdown functions have...

I'm six weeks into a broken collarbone after a fall from my bike.
I'm keen to get back into the program, but clearly it will have to be modified. Any suggestions? I reckon I can do squats, I've...
