Re: Protein and plain water

Well, I personally think that syntha six is the best tasting, but they are much higher in calories than many other protein drinks.

Have you tried to carry milk or mixed protein drink in a...

Re: Protein in Coffee

It's not bad.

I usually add instant coffee or cold filtered coffee to my vanilla or chocolate protein drink. I'm not as big a fan of the nitrean chocolate, I can taste what I believe is the egg...

Re: Got my Testosterone Tested

I think a more important question is "how do you feel?"

If you energy levels and libido are good I wouldn't worry too much about the lab values even if they were clinically pretty low. If they're...

Re: Protein powder with Coffee

I mix my powder with coffee quite often. For convenience I usually just add instant coffee to the protein mix and blend in a magic bullet.

If you don't mind iced coffee drinks, try "cold...

Re: Homemade Protein Shake

You could also swap the fat free yogurt for higher fat yogurt.

A friend of mine is a hard gainer. Even in his mid 40's he would complain about having to eat so much. He would often melt half...

Re: Fatigue - Not Enough Calories?

I'm not a nutritionist but eyeballing says you are at 2K calories or less so energy deficit would be my bet.

I have been dealing with fatigue with my regimen. More calories and a mid week rest...

Re: AtLarge Nutrition

I ordered the other day. 25% off makes those supplements a deal. I'm also anxious to try the EGD pro dispenser.

I've got a daily ritual of nitrean+ice+a cup of frozen berries from costco. I mix...

Re: PaleoZone vs Morbid Obesity: An Odyssey

Hey Luke, I hope you're feeling better by now. I also hope your current workout routine is not cutting trees and stacking sandbags. :)

Re: PaleoZone vs Morbid Obesity: An Odyssey

My lifetime high weight was about 380 but I had "slimmed" down to about 315 over the years. I started 2011 just with the simple goal of getting solidly under 300 lbs. But when I got there I kept...

Re: PaleoZone vs Morbid Obesity: An Odyssey

Great philosophy Arturo.

Luke, I'm pleased to report that its possible to live a somewhat normal life on the other side of the diet. I'm finding that as long as I exercise some reasonable self...

Re: PaleoZone vs Morbid Obesity: An Odyssey

As always, great work Luke. I admire your ability to look at things in such a analytical perspective. I let my emotions get in the way when I step on the scale.

One question I have. How do you...

Re: Milk... Whole vs Skim

i tried whole milk for a while. It appears it made my blood lipids rise. I switched back to skim and they dropped again. Just something to consider if you care about such markers.

If you are paying a premium I would just ensure that what you are buying is indeed locally grown. I knew a guy that ran a vegetable stand in front of a large garden. Many people stopped to get the...
