Re: Paleo/weight loss question
I'll be the dissenter and say that while you don't need to count calories, you do need to be aware of your portion sizes and really pay attention to whether you're eating "good" paleo or "bad" paleo....

Re: Almond Milk - What is the point ?
You don't *need* milk. And I'm not a fan of fake products either (almond milk, soy milk, etc).
The only reason to use/have it is if you really like something that uses milk, but aren't drinking...

Actually, those are two totally different exercises...
But I agree, there's nothing inherently wrong w/a 1-arm DB bench, no worse than lunges, floor press, suitcase DL, etc, BOR, etc...

Re: Are multivitamins necessary?
From my random reading, they don't do anything if you're eating a healthy diet. They're either giving you more of what you're already getting from food, or not nearly enough of what you're missing....

Re: Uphill Rowing Video
But you'll see when people do this, they're actually making the rower scoot across the floor. Yeah, you can face the erg against the wall or have a buddy put his foot at the front feet, but you're...

Re: Best box's in Seattle area?
Yeah, this is going to be a problem. Would you allow some random dude who claims he does Crossfit just show up and do whatever in your gym? (most gyms don't have open gym hours)
Most gyms have no...

Re: Back Rounding
Can you squat deeper w/o weight (bar only, or an air squat?)?
How far can you bring your knees to your chest when laying on your back?
Can you squat deeper if you hold onto something (squat...

Re: Disproportional to the extreme
I guess I need to pay better attention, I'd thought synthol was the oil - it rhymes with oil ;)
So my point is he/they were injecting oil into their muscles to get additional (non-functional) mass.

Re: Hydration
Yes, this, exactly. Always being thirsty despite drinking plenty, and urinating frequently, are both medical flags - it's not normal. In fact, abnormally frequent urination is a warning sign of both...

Re: Burpee Pull Up Standards.
It makes sense to me that you would jump into the pullup, getting a boost into the pullup from your jump from the burpee.
Otherwise it would be an alternating burpee/pullups movement, not...

2. Meat
3. Fat

Re: Interval method of rowing
I guess we have a different idea of what an "average user" is :) It shouldn't take a "very trained individual" to exceed the benefit of short intervals, nor would it take much training to get there....

Re: Interval method of rowing
I agree there's something to using an interval strategy - it's common in beginner marathon running, called the "Galloway run-walk-run" method.
But for rowing, where there's momentum to be...
