Re: Leg turning blue while standing after a fibula fracture

Wow Everett, your willing to gamble an unknown medical condition on a forum without actually meeting with the person?

I tried explaining over the phone an excessive amount of swelling to my...

Re: Leg turning blue while standing after a fibula fracture

I had a fractured fibula last year and had a cast. I ended up getting a blood clot from it behind my knee. Elevating helps because the swelling goes down, but the blood clot doesn't go away. I 2nd...

Re: Post workout cough

What helped me was a good warm up. The lungs need to warm up too for the high intensity. If you go too hard too fast it could cause the coughing and phlegm.

Re: Milk and stomach pain

I don't have the time right now to search, but I think there was a certain type of milk that was requested like what eric said. It's not just any kind. Probably search GOMAD. This going back a few...

I have read through your blog several times and have discussed this with you in this thread. Within the last 2 months I have been going to a physical therapist and I...

Re: Crossfit after a broken leg

Not trying to hijack just thought it is somewhat relevant...Anyone know if it's common for a casted calf to become very tight and painful in the achilles? It's only been 5 days with a cast for a...

Re: CrossFit Endurance WODs

Those are huge numbers dude. My total with perfect form is half that. I am by no means an expert, but if you want to run a marathon I'm sticking with my recommendation to do CFE and scaling up the...

Re: Sub Acute Fracture

Here we go again? I'm not sure where you got in my post that I haven't been listening to my doctor. I was told "not to run until July." I haven't run for over 6 months, just after the injury...

Sub Acute Fracture

I am having a heck of a time healing an injury to my left fibula in September. After MRI, CAT scan, x-rays, etc. my orthopaedic diagnosed me with a sub acute fracture only because I'm guessing that I...

Re: CrossFit Endurance WODs

If I can remember correctly, you were asking if you did a certain programming would you lose strength? By posting "numbers" such as DL, Squat etc results we could examine them and make an opinion on...

Re: CrossFit Endurance WODs

I think that maybe you just rectified the problem I had with your statement. You stated that neither "cared" about the other. You have switched that to emphasize. I would agree with that.

As...

Re: CrossFit Endurance WODs

I don't know. I think there is room for argument. I have to agree with Shane. Plus where does it say that CFFB cares more about strength vs. endurance and vice verse for CFE? I guess I thought that...

Re: CrossFit Endurance WODs

This statement confuses me. Isn't that what CFFB is all about;strength and endurance together? Or the entire CrossFit methodolgy for that matter?

Shane is very knowledgeable. I follow his blog daily and have learned a lot. But just to expand on this "right from the CFE website as well"

"...this is an evolution in the CrossFit Endurance...

No. CFE has it's own programming now because they feel their programming maximizes the CFE WODs.

Ab Strain?

March 25, 2010 I was doing a CFE WOD 90% Tempo 20 mins biking. On the last 1/2 mile or so, I aggravated an ab strain I believe. I went to GP and surgeon both saying that I don't have a hernia. But I...

Re: Shin Splints

Steven,

Last Thursday I went to the Orthopedic. I had my left lower leg- knee, tibia, fibia, and ankle-foot x-raid. The Ortho found a small "abnormal growth" on my tibia that had swelling...
