Re: Torso Length and Squatting

Darn...and I was just about to pipe in with some of my similar experiences. Good work Drew, sounds like your on track.

Now, how do you find deads with the longer torso? :D

Re: Flexibility

Rollo's right on this one. My best flexibility was gained with heavy squats. This crossed over to help my thrusters dramatically.

If you keep working the movements (with good form) the...

Re: My take on CF

Hey Scott,

I understand your rant. I figure you gotta take what you believe is good advise and disregard the rest. This is still part of the world wide net after all.

While cruising the...

Re: Zone Diet?

Hey Anthony, I'm kinda in the same boat you mentioned above; whereby, I'm making gains and losing chub without the zone. I am curious of what would happen if I switched up the diet.

What kind of...

Re: Ten Pound Challenge

Good luck Delita, that's a great goal and I'm interested in seeing your progress. Remember to enjoy the good food you choose to eat. :) I find that food digests so much better when it's satisfying.

Re: Ten Pound Challenge

This is a great thread. Everyone's progress is motivating.

My main goal at the moment is to see the six pack in the summer or in about 6 month. Since the scale seems to lie to me I have no idea...

Re: Getting back into it.

Crossfit is mostly what I do; however, I do it so that I will be better at all other activities....and because I'm a bit vain. :D For this reason I'll never exhaust myself doing a WOD. I just...

Re: What's the point of static stretches?

Hi William,

I do find some static stretches for the hip flexors and hamstrings relieve tightness in my lower back which can feel good - temporarily. I also find that if I static stretch too often...

What's the point of static stretches?

Hello All,

Static stretching has been discussed a bit on this forum but it has mostly been to the effect of "how do I" type questions.

For myself I find that static stretching does not help my...

Re: Overtraining and Muscular Soreness

Patrick, I've been there with you. Constantly sore and determined to keep giving it my all at every single workout. More than a few times I've met pukie and more than a few times I've knocked myself...

Re: The Sugar Addict's Diet

Sandy,

I would not put any faith in articles such as this. It is definetly trying to use scare tactics and cure all promises to get you to buy their products. If this person was living on sugar it...

Re: "Angie" Games

Thanks for the reference that's exactly what I was looking for. Keeping below the lactic threshold makes more sense to me than pushing until failure and having an extended recovery.

Re: "Angie" Games

Looking at the comments on the main page it would seem that most people just try to burn through as best they can taking rests when needed -- which is what I usually do.

Just thought that maybe not...

Re: Top 25 Angie times from LogsItAll

That's seriously impressive Craig. Any idea what the time was on each exercise you did?

Re: Top 25 Angie times from LogsItAll

*Phew* Feeling better now.

I seem to get an error when I drill down on the specific people so I'm missing the detail.

"Angie" Games

Does anyone have any strategies for "gaming" Angie?

Of course if you can burn through 100 push-ups and pull-ups without stopping it really doesn't matter :p

Re: Top 25 Angie times from LogsItAll

The math just doesn't add up for me. What was Greg's 100 kip time? 3:20? And that guys a savage. You'd have to fly through the other exercises to break 9 mins.

A video would be great and ease my...

Re: Good Mornings?

I can see the benefits of good mornings; however, I really prefer stiff legged deadlifts for hitting the same motion. The stiff deads just seem like a more functional movement.

Just throwing it out...
