Re: Minor Shoulder Issue

What do you mean "clears up with warm up"? The vast majority of the stiffness is gone after some shoulder dislocates, but it is still persistent day to day.

Re: Strength Problems

From some googling it looks like a pair of spring clips weigh very close to a pound. Can anyone with a scale confirm this?

Re: Strength Problems

I made sure I got over 5 minutes of rest, and I still got one rep. My arms were just fried.

I'll grab some lighter plates and drink more milk and see what happens.

Re: Strength Problems

I'm not quite stalling yet, but from how heavy the weight feels it's quite possible I'll stall at 95#. Is this at all normal? I feel like it is a much too light weight to be stalling at.

For smaller...

Re: SS and large weight increases

Just want to let you guys know, I benched 95 for 3x5 today easily and then did an extra set of 5 just for the heck of it.

To those in the same situation as me, I just started drinking a lot of extra...

Re: Training for Ultimate Frisbee

I played Ultimate a bit, and Ian Haya gives great advice. I'm guessing you could steal workout methods from similar sports, such as basketball, where similar qualities (agility, vertical jump, sprint...

Re: Advice on programming

Just to clarify if it isn't apparent, the != means not, so don't use the three bars of death. You don't want to overtrain.

I'm sorry, but it took me a while to figure out :(

Re: Overtraining?

Resting heart rate is the best way. Also look for trouble sleeping and weight loss.

Though as long as you are making consistent progress, don't worry.

Cheap Door Frame Pull-Up bars

I need a solid pull-up bar at my house so I don't need to run to the local children's playground to do pull-ups. What do you suggest for a cheap and reliable door frame mounted pull up bar?

Re: Is it possible....

Thanks. I interpreted that as they overtrained in a way that made them quickly lose results when they stopped, and I had never heard of that concept before. Thanks for that clarification.

I have a question relating to the "do pushups every day" method.

Would doing SS and the Armstrong pullup program at the same time lead to overtraining and be counterproductive? I want to increase...

Re: SS and large weight increases

Wouldn't doing pushups every day lead to fatigue, overtraining, and all of that bad stuff? I though the reason for a M/W/F schedule was for the body to recuperate.

Re: SS and large weight increases

I've gained almost 5 pounds in a month. Is this too little? If you want to be exact, I was at 122 and now hover around 127, sometimes more or less depending on the day.

Re: The World's Greatest Athlete?

I don't dispute that there are better measures of performance for a baseball player than batting average.

However, I don't think it is fair to say baseball is easier than cricket. In batting, there...
